Buddy's 2005 Christmas Letter

I don’t like to write in a journal every day,
But I like to write this yearly letter to convey
What has happen to our family along the way,
And to wish you and your family a happy holiday.

This summer we went to Bethany Beach, Delaware
And rented a condo for a weeklong family affair.
Mom, Dad, Vivian, Bryan, Logan and Evan were there
Along with Christy, Tim, Ally and Brock in the sea air.

Robin stayed in Bel Air to mind their bookstore
While the rest of us played in the surf at the shore,
Went swimming in the pool, or went to town to explore.
It was a great time and we hope to do it some more.

Then we went to Branson, Missouri, the music place,
And heard the Oak Ridge Boys sing and I loved that bass.
Christy’s family joined us and we picked up the pace
Going everywhere we could during our time-share space.

Then the summer was over and Carolyn went back to school,
But I had one more trip that I thought was really cool.
I went to a camp with Mom and Dad where seniors rule
And got to visit with Wayne Logan, he is a jewel.

Things have pretty much settled back into a routine.
I try to treat my wonderful working wife like a queen
By keeping the house, the clothes, and the dishes clean
And she lets me sing in a Barber Shop Chorus that’s keen.

May the Lord Bless you real good in the coming year.
May your life be filled with lots of love and good cheer.
And even if you are far away we will keep your memory near
Because our good friends and family are so dear.
