GABRIEL’S MESSAGE TO JOSEPH

Fear not, Joseph, don’t be afraid;
Take as your wife the virgin maid.
She has not been untrue to you:
Her heart is pure; her body too.
God chose for her to be the one
Who gives birth to His only Son.
His Holy Spirit o’er shadowed her:
His plan for man will soon occur
His name shall be Emmanuel;
God comes to earth, with man to dwell:
Peace on earth, good will to men;
He shall save His people from their sin.
Rise up from sleep and take your spouse;
The glory of God will bless your house.
No other home will be so blessed,
God gives to you His grace and best.
In nine short months God’s Son was born,
And angles sang that blessed morn:
A Savior ‘s born who is Christ the Lord.
Call His name Jesus; that is God’s word.
