ON A DARK ROAD

By Lee Brock

The road seems rough, and we walk in fear,
But rest assured that God is near.
The way is dark and drear sometimes:
Above the clouds the sun still shines.

We look ahead and we cannot see,
And in the dark we want to flee;
Then the Day Star shines to light our way,
And we do not fear the coming day.

If faith can move a mountain tall,
My faith must be so very small.
No mountains have I moved today,
But Christ, the Light, still lights my way.
